Indonesian Economic Development Strategy
One of the important concepts that need to be observed in studying the economy of a country is aware of the economic development strategy. Economic development strategy is bound to be a remedial action on factors (variables) that will serve as the factors / variables that will determine the way the major growth process (Suroso, 1993).
Strategy development is a way to achieve the vision and mission formulated in the form of strategies which can improve performance.
In principle, the selection of such strategies to be used in the development process is highly influenced by the question "What is the purpose to be achieved?"

Economic Development Strategy in Indonesia

Before the new order of economic development strategies in Indonesia in theory have been directed at efforts to speed the achievement of high economic growth. But in fact there is a tendency to see more emphasis on political purposes, and less attention to economic development.
Whereas at the beginning of a new order, the strategy for development in Indonesia is directed at cleaning action and improvement of basic economic conditions, particularly the efforts to suppress the inflation rate is quite high.
From the government's evidence is, to some concluded that the development strategies in Indonesia do not recognize differences of extreme strategies. For example, in addition to equalization strategy development, Indonesia is not ruled out growth strategies, and strategic vision of space. This strategy dipertegas to specify the target and center of gravity of each Repelita, namely:

* Repelita I: placing emphasis on agriculture and agricultural support industries that put a solid foundation for further stages.
* Repelita II: placing emphasis on the agricultural sector by improving industry processing raw materials into raw materials put a solid foundation for the next level.
* Repelita III: placing emphasis on the agricultural sector and hence ensuring food self-sufficiency to industry processing raw materials into finished goods lay a solid foundation for the next level.
* Repelita IV: placing emphasis on the agricultural sector to melanjjtkan efforts towards food self-sufficiency to enhance the industry could produce its own industrial machines, good light industry that will continue to be developed further in Repelita-Repelita put a solid foundation for the next level.
